Death Proof story line (SLIGHT SPOILERS [nothing major]): Death Proof is set around a movie shoot. Mary Elizabth Winstead plays Lee, an actress starring in her first large movie. Other lead role actors play people like her makeup artist, stunt women etc.

They (Lee, her makup artist etc) start becoming friends and have fun until Stuntman Mike, a psychotic killer starts to stalk them.
